Ryan Adams joins Walton County Tourism Department as Deputy Beach Operations Director

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. – July 10, 2025 – The Walton County Tourism Department is excited to announce the appointment of Ryan Adams as Deputy Beach Operations Director.

Adams has 16 years of experience in project management and government agency operations at both the state and local levels, making him well prepared for his new role.

As Deputy Beach Operations Director, Adams supports the management and oversight of the Beach Operations Department. He is responsible for maintenance of beaches, landscapes, facilities and multi-use paths, as well as capital improvement projects and the transportation program.

Adams’ previous work experience included director of DeFuniak Springs Airport and, most recently, project manager for the Florida Department of Transportation in Chipley.

Adams is a graduate of Northwest Florida State College where he received his bachelor’s degree in project management. He is a lifelong resident of Northwest Florida and has lived in Freeport with his wife and two kids for the past six years.
