Temporary Closure of Ed Walline RBA Delayed Due to Weather

The repaving of the Ed Walline Regional Beach Access parking lot has been postponed due to inclement weather. Walton County Beach Operations and Public Works departments announced the delay of the project originally scheduled for this week, citing forecasted frigid temperatures that are not suitable for asphalt installation.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Code Enforcement and lifeguards have been notified of the change, and the beach access will remain open throughout the week. Construction crews will pause preparations and are expected to resume next week, with the beach access, parking lot and bathrooms scheduled to close Sunday night, Feb. 1, through Friday, Feb. 6.

Beach Operations began remodeling the Miramar Beach RBA today. The project is expected to last about two weeks. Portable restrooms are available for public use, with signs noting the bathrooms are closed during construction.
