Walton County Tourism offers two separate event funding programs designed to support events that enhance the visitor experience and promote tourism within Walton County. Each program has a different purpose, application process, and evaluation criteria. While both programs support community events, they serve different purposes and have distinct application requirements. 

Applicants may apply to only one program per event and are encouraged to review the information and guidelines below carefully before applying.

Funding through both programs is intended for events taking place between October 1, 2026 and September 30, 2027.


Community Event Sponsorship Program 2026-2027

The Community Event Sponsorship Program provides financial support to upcoming events that demonstrate strong marketing value, tourism visibility, and alignment with Walton County Tourism’s goals. Sponsorships are intended to support future events and are awarded based on the event’s projected impact, promotional reach, and visitor engagement.

* This program is separate from the Event Grant Reimbursement Program and has different eligibility and evaluation criteria.

Marketing Event Grant Reimbursement Program 2026-2027

The Marketing Event Grant Reimbursement Program reimburses eligible marketing expenses for events held in Walton County that promote tourism and meet program requirements. Applications are submitted in advance for events proposed for the upcoming fiscal year; however, reimbursement occurs only after the event has taken place and all required documentation has been submitted and approved.

* This program is separate from the Community Event Sponsorship Program and has different eligibility and evaluation criteria.

Application Deadline

Both applications will open on February 11, 2026 and remain open for nine weeks.

Deadline to apply:
Wednesday, April 15, 2026

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered under any circumstances.
