TDT Collections

Walton County Tourism is dedicated to promoting the success of tourism-facing businesses, partnering with local businesses to build lasting connections. We work collaboratively to encourage economic growth and showcase the best of our local community.

Walton County Tourism and Beach Operations are funded exclusively by the Tourist Development Tax, which is collected on hotels, condos and other short-term rentals in Walton County. There are two taxing districts within Walton County - one north of the Choctawhatchee Bay and one south of Choctawhatchee Bay. The south-end taxing district currently collects a 5% TDT, while the north-end taxing district collects a 3% TDT.

 

The revenue supports tourism marketing, beach operations efforts, including cleaning and maintaining the beaches, employing lifeguards, destination improvements and preservation initiatives. Use the dropdown menu to see current and historical TDT collections.
