WALTON COUNTY, Fla.—June 28, 2019— With the summer season in full swing, there are plenty of events and activities for the entire family in South Walton. Spotlight Events:

July 2: RUN/SUP Youth Program at WaterColor Boathouse: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Looking for a fun adventure for the kids? Ages 8-12 can take part in a 2-hour adventure program where they will learn to paddleboard, play games, play in the pool and other fun. Cost is $50 per child. Text (850) 419-6188 to reserve your dates.

 

July 2: Solaris Yacht Sunset, Fireworks, Dinner and Dancing Cruise: 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Summertime signals the start of a weekly SunQuest Cruises tradition that has grown into one of the top things to do in the South Walton area. SunQuest Cruises is hosting its weekly Sunset, Fireworks, Dinnerand Dancing Cruises on the SOLARIS yacht every Tuesday and Thursday in the summer, including 4th of July. Guests enjoy the best of all worlds as they cruise into the sunset on a 125- foot yacht, indulge in coastal cuisines, dance to live music and watch a vibrant fireworks show.

 

July 3: Easy on 30A Concert: 5:45 p.m.-10 p.m.

Head out to the WaterColor Marina Park for the 8th annual Easy on 30A benefit concert. The festivities include live music, a silent auction, a craft market, raffles and a food drive. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

 

July 4: 4th of July Celebration at Rosemary Beach: 7:30 a.m.-9 p.m.

Spend July 4th in Rosemary Beach with fun for the whole family all day long. Kick things off with the Rosemary Beach Bike Decorating Contest and breakfast, followed by the bike parade, field day, live music, which all culminates in the fireworks show at 9 p.m.

July 4: South Walton 4th of July Parade along 30A: 8 a.m.

The annual July 4th parade along Highway 30A is ready to roll. The fun begins at 8 a.m. in Seagrove Beach and will continue along Highway 30A through Seaside. There will be plenty of fun after the parade, including awards and face painting.

 

July 4: Grayton Beach 4th of July Parade: 8:30 a.m.

Grayton Beach will play host to its annual July 4th parade where participants and attendees are encouraged to decorate their cars, boats, bikes or whatever else they’d like for some good fun. After the parade, head over to Grayton Coast Properties for popsicles, watermelon and lemonade.

Seaside July 4th Concert with Sister Hazel: 5:30 p.m.

Gather at the Seaside Amphitheater for the July 4th festivities. Live music kicks off at 5:30 p.m., with headliners Sister Hazel taking the stage at 7 p.m. Be sure to bring your favorite chair or blanket. The fun concludes with a fireworks show over the Gulf of Mexico at 8:30 p.m.

 

July 4: Fireworks Dinner Cruise on the SOLARIS: 6-9:30 p.m.

The Solaris is offering a July 4th Sunset, Fireworks & Celebration dinner cruise. Entrée options include: filet mignon, shrimp and grits, Carribbean glazed chicken, Southern crab cakes, bronzed Gulf fish and harvest vegetables. Check-in begins at 5:15 p.m., cruise is from 6-9:30 p.m.

July 4: Sandestin July 4th BBQ at Baytowne Marina: 6-9 p.m.

Spend your July 4th surrounded by live music, face painting, bounce houses, mouthwatering barbeque and more at the Baytowne Marina. This is a ticketed event.

 

July 4: Alys Beach July 4th Concert: 6-9 p.m.

Alys Beach will come alive with music from Rhythm Nation for some July 4th fun. The family-friendly event will have food and drinks available to purchase, as well as a fireworks show.

 

July 4: Red, White and Baytowne: 6-9 p.m.

Join us this 4th of July for our Red, White, and Baytowne celebration! Beginning at 6 p.m. enjoy lawn games, inflatables, kids crafts, and face painting. Then enjoy live music on the Events Plaza Stage at 7 p.m., followed by a fireworks display that will light up the night sky at 9:15 p.m.

 

July 5: Topsail Under the Stars: 5-9:30 p.m.

Join Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and the Northwest Florida Astronomy Association (NWFASTRO) for an evening of viewing the sun, moon and stars through telescopes on July 5, 2019 from 5 - 9:30 p.m. Solar telescopes will be out until the sun sets for you to safely view the sun.  Then the astronomy association will switch telescopes and assist you in viewing any constellations, planets and other celestial objects that are visible.

July 12: ’67 The Summer of Love Show: 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Jordan & Michelle Take You On The Ultimate 60’s Rock Journey, 1967 was the greatest year ever for music. They called it the Summer of Love and now Jordan and Michelle lovingly recreate the songs that exploded that iconic summer. Michelle (Hairspray on Broadway) and Jordan (TV’s Law and Order) pay energetic tribute to The Beatles, Janis Joplin, The Doors, Cream, The Monkees, and more. They rock, they belt, they harmonize, and breathe new life into the songs no one will ever forget.

 

July 15-19: Creative Kids Camp Ages 4-6 at the Bayou Arts Center: 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Lead Instructor Sue Davis and Pottery Instructor Stacy Martin will teach the campers how to work with a variety of mediums and use different techniques so each student goes home with a diverse portfolio of work.

 

July 18: Third Thursday Wine Walk at Gulf Place: 5-7 p.m.

For just $20, attendees can enjoy samplings of hand-selected wines, light appetizers, live music and giveaways while venturing to all of the unique Gulf Place shops. Featuring jewelry, artwork, clothing and many other unique gifts, event-goers can enjoy the evening sipping, dancing and shopping while you stroll around beautiful Gulf Place.
