Halloween Happenings in South Walton

Spooky season is here and we’re celebrating with a roundup of all things Halloween in South Walton. From pet costume contests and dance parties to plenty of family friendly fun, there’s something for everyone!

Family Movie Night at Topsail

Join the Friends of Topsail on Friday, Oct. 22 for a Family Movie Night! Activities and offerings will include showing Hocus Pocus, face painting, kids’ crafts, costume contest, food truck, specialty drinks, concessions, candy and more!  All participants are encouraged to wear a costume! The food truck and crafts begin at 5 p.m. and the movie begins at 6:20 p.m. Event participation fees are a suggested donation of $5 for individuals and $10 for families (up to 5). All proceeds from this event will benefit Topsail Hill Preserve State Park!

Barktoberfest

Dress your four-legged friends in their Halloween finest and enjoy a free canine-only trick-or-treating event and doggie social benefiting Dog-Harmony. Judging for the best “Pet & Parent Matching Costume” contest will take place during the event with the prize-winning duo announced at 6:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy light bites, libations, a raffle drawing and lawn games.

Witches of South Walton

Join the Witches of South Walton for #WitchRide2021 on Friday, Oct. 29 in South Walton. The annual charity bike ride encourages participants to dress up in their best witchy attire and cruise along 30A. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Children’s Volunteer Health Network which facilitates the delivery of comprehensive, direct medical, dental and mental health services to school children whose family income falls below certain measures throughout Walton and Okaloosa Counties and surrounding communities. All October,
FOOW is offering Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice, a new Halloween themed drink from the WaterColor Inn restaurant. The drink includes Pumpkin spice vodka, Kahlua, creamer, and cinnamon served with a Graham Cracker rim.
