WALTON COUNTY, FL—November 8, 2022--Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we’re celebrating with a roundup of holiday meal happenings throughout Walton County. Whether you’re looking for a sit-down meal at one of our local restaurants or to-go meal options that can feed families big and small, there’s something for everyone in Walton County.

Chanticleer will offer Thanksgiving meals that can be ordered to-go for pick up on Tuesday, Nov. 22, or Wednesday, Nov. 23. Limited availability!

There is no time for dishes or holiday stress this Thanksgiving! Let the team at Farm & Fire help make this holiday gathering one full of family, friends, and food with none of the mess. This year, Executive Chef Nick is excited to offer a delightful and delicious pick-up and bake meal for four. Order by phone; pick-up on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

Let Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort cater your Thanksgiving meal. All orders are to be placed by Friday, Nov. 18.

Gather Kitchen + Bar

If you’d like your family-style turkey dinner to-go or WaterColor-delivered, WaterColor Inn & Resort has the perfect option for you!  Choose between whole turkey or half turkey packages. Both options come with a wide selection of main dishes (herb-roasted whole turkey and butternut squash ravioli), cold selections (coastal greens salad, Caesar salad, poached Gulf shrimp), and dessert (salted caramel pumpkin pie and bourbon chocolate pecan pie). Each package includes turkey and all the trimmings for four to six people. The whole turkey package is $300; the half turkey package is $225. Thanksgiving to-go ordering at The Big Chill 30A is now available! With a perfectly curated menu from house-smoked turkey to green bean casserole and pie selections, let us do the cooking for you!

Marrow Private Chefs

It's Thanksgiving. If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing, right? Marrow is offering a special Thanksgiving delivery package featuring Fowl de Cochon - pork tenderloin, turkey, duck sausage, and quail, all rolled into a roulade and packed with boudin and stuffing - plus all the sides and sweets you need too. Follow the link to the menu on our website for more info, then fill out the request form to place an order for your table.

Orders must be placed by Sunday, Nov. 13. All deliveries will be made cold with simple heating instructions on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Ovide

Enjoy Thanksgiving at Ovide, Hotel Effie’s in-house restaurant by James Beard-award-winning chef Hugh Acheson. Hotel guests and locals will savor this award-winning celebrity chef’s feast of roasted turkey, cornbread stuffing, savory gravy, Effie’s iconic homemade biscuits and more. This experience includes a seafood buffet alongside a family style dinner, including starters, salads, entrees, sides, and delicious desserts to taste. Seatings are available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $65 per person and $30 for children under 12. Make reservations by Nov. 18. 

The Bay Restaurant

The Bay will host a Thanksgiving buffet feast from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Reservations are open by phone only.

The Great Southern Cafe

The Great Southern Cafe team is excited to celebrate Thanksgiving once again with a seated buffet. While the buffet might be plated for you, we assure guests will leave happy, full, and thankful! Down Island Gulf Seafood Restaurant

On Nov. 24, Chef Brannon Janca will present his first Thanksgiving feast at Down Island Gulf Seafood restaurant. The meal includes three courses for $48. The first course is a choice of lobster bisque or shaved brussels sprout salad. The second course is a turkey plate with oven-roasted and spice-injected turkey with gravy, oyster dressing, Too Too's corn souffle, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole with pecans and marshmallows, and mayhaw-cranberry sauce. The third course is a choice of bananas Foster bread pudding, wood-fired pumpkin pie OR pistachio creme brulee. The meal is the epitome of comfort food and the staff at Down Island can't wait to serve you.

An la carte menu is also available. Guests can order only the adult turkey plate by itself for $37 as well. Down Island will have a full kid’s menu or a kid’s turkey plate for $15. Walk-ins are welcome, based on seating availability.

Beach Cow at WaterColor Beach Club

On Nov. 24, from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., guests of WaterColor Resort can stop by The Beach Cow in the WaterColor Beach Club this Thanksgiving to try out a pumpkin pie milkshake, served with caramel syrup, whipped cream and graham cracker crumbs.

The Canteen at WaterColor Resort

Thanksgiving Day specials at The Canteen in WaterColor Resort will include pumpkin pie brownie bars and a Snickerdoodle Deep South Freeze (made with vanilla ice cream and pumpkin pie spice). Camp WaterColor is a shared community amenity for WaterColor residents and guests of WaterColor Inn & Resort; it is not open to the general public. 

 Scratch Biscuit Kitchen

For a Thanksgiving special this year, Scratch Biscuit Kitchen will offer turkey pot pie (shredded braised turkey, diced root vegetables, garden peas and Scratch biscuit crust) and pumpkin latte cinnamon rolls from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Offerings include an open-faced Louisville Hot Brown (with turkey breast, bacon, roasted tomato, Texas toast and Mornay sauce), salted caramel pumpkin pie, black bottom sweet potato bread pudding, and herb-roasted turkey roulade (with cornbread stuffing, haricot vert, wild mushroom, sage roasted parsnips, creamed Brussels sprouts, candied sweet potatoes, acorn squash, garlic mashed potatoes, cranberry gastrique sauce and giblet gravy). Gather Kitchen + Bar is available only to guests of WaterColor Inn and Watersound Club Lifestyle Members from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Fish Out of Water

The Fish Out of Water restaurant is offering Thanksgiving-themed options throughout the day on Nov. 24, including a pumpkin-spiced croffle, shaved turkey Reuben, warm sweet potato casserole, and brown butter Pecan ice cream from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Thanksgiving Feast is from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m., with roasted turkey breast, fried maple almond Brussels sprouts, green bean casserole, cornbread stuffing, candied yams, Boursin-whipped potatoes, turkey gravy and cranberry sauce.

WaterColor LakeHouse Buffet

The WaterColor LakeHouse is offering a special Thanksgiving Buffet on Nov. 24 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., featuring everything from a breakfast corner (offering familiar favorites like scrambled eggs, crisp applewood bacon, French toast and hot oatmeal porridge) to a bakery section (house-baked rolls, breakfast Danish and pastries, banana bread and more), along with an iced seafood and raw bar, a carving station featuring herb-roasted whole turkey and herb peppercorn-crusted prime rib, a wide selection of main and side dishes, desserts and even a kid’s menu! The Pearl Hotel

Havana Beach Bar & Grill at The Pearl Hotel is offering a Thanksgiving Grand Buffet this year on Nov. 24, with seating times from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Highlights include an Emerald Coast seafood display with poached Gulf shrimp, cocktail crab claws, smoked tuna dip, oysters on the half shell, and Gulf Coast ceviche; entrees including roasted turkey with sage-shallot butter, herb-roasted prime rib at a chef-attended carving station, maple-bourbon glazed ham, and blackened Red Snapper; and a selection of house baked desserts including pies, tarts and much more! 5k Turkey Trout, one mile fun run, and Tailgate

Join us for the inaugural Sandestin Turkey Trot 5K run and one mile fun run/walk. Stick around for a post-run tailgate party 11a.m. with beer, food, prizes, rewards and NFL football on the big screen. It's a great time for the whole family. $25 for adults and $15 for 18 and under; the first 30 people will receive a free t-shirt.
