WALTON COUNTY, Fla.—October 1, 2018— The season is changing, and South Walton is gearing up for fall with new restaurants, shopping, tours and more. Here’s what’s new in South Walton visit this fall.

New Restaurant Openings, Specials and Renovations:

  • Vintij Wine and Food has officially opened in their brand new Grand Boulevard location. Along with their new chef, there are new offerings on the menu to accompany the classic favorites. Enjoy a totally new atmosphere, expanding seating and more in the new location.

  • FOOW, the waterfront restaurant space previously known as Fish Out of Water in WaterColor Resort has re-opened after an extensive renovation and rebranding.   • Market Shops at Miramar Beach welcomed Clean Juice and Maple Street Biscuit Company. Clean Juice features on the go organic food and provides healthy products with unprocessed produce. Maple Street Biscuit Company is home to fresh, made-from-scratch biscuits and other southern staples, and prides itself on giving back to the community.
  • Market 27 in Seacrest Beach has opened and is offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner options in addition to their market and juice bar. Enjoy their farm-to-table menu options, creative cocktails and drink specials, along with fresh, locally sourced juices and more.   • La Cocina in Seacrest Beach is ready for football season with their new hours and specials. Now open on weekends, you can enjoy watching your favorite teams while dining on delicious Latin-inspired fare and drink specials.

  • You can now enjoy brunch at Emeril’s Coastal Italian at Grand Boulevard on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. IN addition to the new brunch specialties, Emeril’s is now hosting a daily happy hour from 3-6 p.m. with select frozen drinks, wines, cocktails and martinis for $5 and $5 flatbreads.

New Shopping Additions and Renovations:

  • The Bearded Beach Hippie isn’t just the newest board and bike rental company in South Walton. It’s a brand that’s taken the beach lifestyle and true service to heart. The Bearded Beach Hippie offers paddleboards, bikes, e-bikes and more for rental periods ranging from 1 day to 6.
  • Thirty A Filet and Vine, a premium meats, produce and wine market, is featuring a special Fall Pop-up shop series. On the first Wednesday of every month from 4 to 6 p.m., Thirty-A Filet and Vine feature a different specialty merchant that offer items outside of the shop’s normally-offered products. You can visit these Fall pop-ups now through December.

  • Chubbies clothing company has opened in Grand Boulevard. The store features men’s, women’s and children’s apparel ranging from neon colored shorts to overalls and swimwear. The shop is located across from Cantina Laredo in Grand Boulevard and is open daily.
  • Blue Mercury is now open in Grand Boulevard. This leading luxury beauty retailer offers high-end cosmetics, skincare, makeup, perfume and more. In addition to their retail side, they also offer spa services including facials, waxing and more. They are located across from Tommy Bahamas in Grand Boulevard.

  • Silver Sands Premium Outlets is welcoming new stores and newly renovated storefronts this Fall. Old Navy Outlet will open October 3rd, and other new additions include Pepper Palace, Greg Norman, Francesca’s and Sea & Sand Jewelry. Newly remodeled locations include the Nike Factory Store, Kitchen Collection and Sperry.

New Accommodation Updates and Renovations:

  • Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort has broken ground on a new boutique hotel. The new full-service hotel will include a three-meal restaurant, a lobby bar, room service, a luxury spa, a fitness facility, and a signature rooftop pool and bar. In addition to these amenities, the hotel will feature over 20,000 feet of meeting space and feature a 13,000 square foot ballroom.

  • TOPS’L Beach and Racquet Resort is excited to announce the hiring of new Executive Chef Richard Mendoza. Mendoza is Michelin-trained and brings over 30 years of experience with him. He and Sous Chef Allen Newsome plan to elevate the menu and overall dining experience at TOPS’l Resort.
  • Ocean Reef Rentals has acquired a majority ownership stake in Rivard of South Walton. The acquisition includes Rivard’s office and two adjoining commercial parcels in Grayton Beach. Rivard will maintain their name and the entire staff, who now have access to increased resources to better serve their clients. Ocean Reef’s centralized point of operation will shift from Miramar Beach to Grayton Beach. Ocean Reef will now represent more than 550 vacation rentals in Northwest Florida.
  • 360 Blue has opened two new office locations in WaterSound Beach and WaterColor Resort. The WaterSound office, located just inside the entrance gate of WaterSound, and the WaterColor office, located across from Wine World, will both be staffed full-time, year-round and open for guests and owners to enjoy on-site presence for a more personalized experience. Guests and owners can make reservations, book experiences, order concierge items and pick up their beach and pool passes in-person at each office.

  • A Little Taste of the Emerald Coast Food Tour is ready to take you and your taste buds on a tour of South Walton. With two different tour options, one spanning 30A West and the other featuring selections along Hwy 98 and in Miramar Beach, Emerald Coast Food Tours has something for everyone. You can choose between a private tour or hop aboard the party bus to mix and mingle with other food lovers.
  • The REP Theater is hosting a new Live at The REP Concert Series. Shows will take place on The REP mainstage and feature musicians from around the world. Upcoming artists include Kim Richey, Peter Bradley Adams, Amy Black, Charlie Mars and more. All shows are $25, and doors open at 7 p.m.
  • Enjoy special fall cruises on board SOLARIS by SunQuest including their new Thanksgiving Cruise where you can choose between a lunch or dinner Thanksgiving buffet featuring all of the Thanksgiving classics. On December 31st, hop aboard their New Year’s Cruise to ring in the New Year with dinner, dancing and fireworks and a champagne toast.
  • Point Washington Preserve will host their first ever Bridal Fair with local vendors, door prizes and more. Point Washington Preserve is South Walton's newest event venue featuring 10 acres of land surrounded by state forest and a 5,000 square foot events pavilion which can hold up to 350 guests. Come see their beautiful event space and meet local vendors who are ready to help you plan your perfect South Walton wedding. Event is free and open to the public.
